Laboratory Technician - Bioanalytical Team

Position Summary
As a Laboratory Technician in our Bioanalytical Team, you will support research and development activities at FMC’s European Innovation Centre in Hørsholm. The role contributes to the development of innovative crop protection products based on microbes, pheromones, and conventional chemical active ingredients.

This position is primarily focused on routine analytical work, following established methods and standard operating procedures. The majority of the work involves repeat analyses rather than method development, and is well suited to candidates who value accuracy, consistency, and hands‑on laboratory work.

Location: Hørsholm, Denmark

Main Responsibilities:

• Perform routine quantitative and qualitative analyses of mainly biological samples
  

• Execute established analytical methods using GC and HPLC‑based techniques
  

• Carry out data processing, interpretation, and reporting of results
  

• Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting of analytical instruments
  

• Maintain laboratory documentation, SOPs, and general housekeeping
  

• Contribute to laboratory safety and compliance activities
  

• Collaborate closely with R&D stakeholders across multiple teams
  

Mandatory Requirements:

• Qualification as a Laboratory Technician (laborant) or an MSc in a relevant scientific field
  

• Hands‑on experience with analytical techniques such as GC and/or HPLC
  

• A pragmatic mindset – you know when to pursue precision and when a task is “good enough” to progress efficiently
  

• Familiarity with laboratory health & safety and good laboratory practices
  

• Ability to work independently after training and manage multiple tasks
  

• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, service‑oriented environment
  

• Confidence working in English, FMC’s primary business language

Stillingsbeskrivelse
Som Laboratorietekniker i vores Bioanalytiske Team vil du understøtte forsknings‑ og udviklingsaktiviteter på FMC’s European Innovation Centre i Hørsholm. Stillingen bidrager til udviklingen af innovative plantebeskyttelsesprodukter baseret på mikroorganismer, feromoner og konventionelle kemiske aktive ingredienser.

Stillingen er primært fokuseret på rutinemæssigt analytisk arbejde, hvor der arbejdes efter etablerede metoder og standardprocedurer. Størstedelen af arbejdet består af gentagne analyser frem for metodeudvikling og er derfor velegnet til kandidater, der sætter pris på nøjagtighed, konsistens og praktisk laboratoriearbejde.

Primære Ansvarsområder

• Udføre rutinemæssige kvantitative og kvalitative analyser af primært biologiske prøver
  

• Anvende etablerede analysemetoder baseret på GC‑ og HPLC‑teknikker
  

• Udføre databehandling, fortolkning og rapportering af analyseresultater
  

• Gennemføre rutinemæssig vedligeholdelse og basal fejlfinding på analytiske instrumenter
  

• Vedligeholde laboratoriedokumentation, SOP’er og generel orden i laboratoriet
  

• Bidrage til laboratoriets sikkerheds‑ og compliance‑aktiviteter
  

• Samarbejde tæt med R&D‑interessenter på tværs af flere teams
  

Krav til Stillingen

• Uddannelse som laborant eller MSc inden for et relevant naturvidenskabeligt område
  

• Praktisk erfaring med analytiske teknikker såsom GC og/eller HPLC
  

• En pragmatisk tilgang – du ved, hvornår der er behov for høj præcision, og hvornår en opgave er “tilstrækkelig” for at komme effektivt videre
  

• Kendskab til laboratoriets arbejdsmiljø, sikkerhed og god laboratoriepraksis
  

• Evne til at arbejde selvstændigt efter oplæring og håndtere flere opgaver samtidigt
